The One & Only by Emily Giffin

Her style of writing is typically easy and entertaining and I knew I could look forward to settling down each night with a few chapters before falling asleep. Along the way she is forced to face some of her deepest desires which could cost her some of the most important relationships in her life. The beginning did a great job grabbing my attention and keeping me intrigued as I continued to read. Throughout the book, there was a significant amount of time spent discussing the details of college football which might be a turn off for some women. As I reached the middle to end of the the story, the direction for the main character became clearly evident.

Gentle, but I was rooting for Ivan and Bob until the end. There was some loss and things that young children won't understand, much-loved barnyard classic delights all ages. Talk to your kids about It's just that simple.

  2. There's mention of the obly superstar of the team getting courted by boosters and a player from back in the day having a car bought for him. I wish Sandler had been a little bit more specific in her language in the chapter "The Fruitful Mandate. Her reliance on anecdotes and reports from her friends is hardly good scholarship, though it does advance interesting issues. She "chooses" Lucy but onky reallygets into a depressed fu.
