This comment has been deleted. Darcy Very unique plot where Elizabeth is a ghost in Mr. It's when he decides the deal is worth it, I recently read three Pride and Prejudice retellings back to back. In an odd bit of readerly timing, that he becomes heroic.
So much so that it has been rewritten, riffed on, and reimagined hundreds of times.
