A moving account of how Amanda, a Canadian freelance journalist, kept alive after being in captivity for days in Somalia. So hard to think of the circumstances that she lived it is a common happening in so many places around the world; her faith and spiritual strength is admirable. With strategy, faith, and hope she fights to be free all through her time held hostage. With vivid descriptions and emotions running high, Lindhout conveys the intensity of her extraordinary journey. I could not stop listening to this harrowing tale. This is an amazing story of survival, resilience and reflection. Amanda Lindhout's telling of her kidnap, sexual abuse and torture is hard to listen to at times but well worth the ride.
