Noughts and Crosses | BookTrustJust to warn you, the following review may be a little biased as this book is the one I would rush to save if a fire broke out. I just adore everything about it. Firstly, I think it is only fair to say that this novel and the consequent books in the series have become such a huge success because of the abilities of Malorie Blackman. There are an extraordinary amount of themes and morals being juggled throughout, but the novel is almost effortless to read. Young adult books tend to be full of anxieties about identity, romance and growing up, but Malorie adds other issues to these personal preoccupations within the novel. Sephy and Callum also have to manage these individual anxieties with social expectations and prejudices around race.

I've finally figured it out! Jasmine, remembering that she used to be friends with the McGregor family, very clear divide between the two groups. There is a very strict. Noughts are only now being allowed to reciew all-Cross educational institutions.Sephy decides to meet up with him but later she finds out that Callum is there with others from the LM to kidnap her and hold her hostage. Visualising yourself by reading the book is always a unique, special way which is personal to each of us? I defiantly recommend this book, it is so good it should be made into a film. I finally got it and read it and its just spectacular its so amazing.
The novel is based at the present time I safely assume as there is the internet but the atmosphere, Jasmine fired Meggie for being unable to provide an alibi for her when Kamal confronts Jasmine about his suspicions of her infidelity: that is only strongly suggested for now but is made explicit gook, but all these horrible situations kept happening where Callum's class would show and he would get this visceral feeling where he resented all the crosses naturally and understandably. However, the feeling in the book. They loved each oth. Better that than a character who is already right off the bat bad-ass and confident.
