I did feel that the first half of the book went much more slowly than the second.I think they do have a very physical relationship and they clearly have very strong chemistry, as well! So I sort of -- what worked for me in the structure was that I knew it was building to something else, but I've heard Groff say that the theme that sort of unites all her novels together is an idea o. Fates and Furies is told in halves. She'd been so far above Lotto -- so far above every person at the school -- she had become mythological.
