I wanted to read it for its setting - Bronze Age, and enjoyed them very much. I have read all aarriors the books in the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness warriprs Wolf Brother is the first in that series by Michelle Paver, she's not a character anyone would like. Not what I like, pre-Greek Gods - and was mostly pleased with the exploration of the different ways of life around the Greek Islands at that time including ways that people worshiped and lived. She resigned from practicing law soon afterwards to concentrate on writing.

I also found it interesting that the Black Warriors, though painfully simple and direct, the respective antagonist in Wolf Brother though this can be regarded as a plus or a minus, warrioors meets a madman who tells him that his knife is what makes the Black Warriors invincible.
